Taking It Back To The Classroom!


 Students illustrated the life cycle of an oak tree and a darkling beetle.  After they were done they typed two paragraphs on their chrome books describing each life cycle including their observations from the field study.


Camp Discovery

Students really enjoyed visiting Camp Discovery last week and getting HANDS ON with plant and animal life cycles!

Answering questions about the life cycle of an oak tree
Learning about life cycles 

Actually seeing all the stages of an oak tree, from acorn to dead log or stag

Playing Blue Jays and Squirrels - the blue jays hid the acorns for the winter, the squirrels had to find them

Observing the different stages of a darkling beetle

Observing a habitat - there was a log, a snail, centipede, earth worms, beetles... etc. 

Observing the adult darkling beetle
